dub·plate · a one-off pressing, cut for the few before the release

The world hasn’t heard it yet.
You have.

Dubplate is a music player app for iPhone and Android. It turns a private Google Drive folder into a beautiful streaming library, for unreleased albums, rough mixes, and the records streaming forgot. Your music streams straight from your Drive to your phone. Just press play.

What Dubplate is

Dubplate is a music player for your Google Drive

Dubplate is a music player app for iPhone and Android. Connect your Google account, and Dubplate lists your Drive music folders, including folders shared with you, using read-only access. Import a folder and it becomes an album in your library: stream it straight from your Drive, or sync it to your phone and listen offline. The first album is free with every feature; a one-time $1.99 purchase unlocks unlimited albums.

Dubplate requests two permissions, and uses them for one purpose: playing your music. Your Google sign-in shows which account is connected, and read-only Google Drive access lets the app list the folders you choose and stream or download the audio files in them. Dubplate never uploads, changes, or deletes anything in your Drive, and your library is stored only on your device. Details in the Privacy Policy.

Who it’s for

Made for music that isn’t out yet,
and music that never will be

Artists & producers

Live with the album before it ships. Sequence it, walk with it, hear the masters the way listeners will, not as a folder of files in a Drive tab.

Labels, A&R, managers

Someone shares a pre-release folder with you, and it becomes a real album in your pocket. Covers, tracklists, lock-screen controls, offline on the plane.

Collectors

Bandcamp buys, live rips, out-of-print records, bootlegs from the vault. The music that never made it to streaming finally gets a player worthy of it.

How it works

From folder to album
in under a minute

Connect Google Drive

Sign in with Google on your device. Dubplate asks for read-only access: it can see and stream your files, never change them.

Pick a folder

Your own, or one shared with you. Dubplate reads the tags, or the filenames when there are none, and builds a clean album with artwork and tracklist.

Press play

Gapless-feel playback, background audio, lock-screen controls, playlists across albums, and offline sync for when the signal dies.

Privacy, by architecture

From your Drive to your phone.
Nothing in between.

The Dubplate app has no backend. It talks directly to Google Drive, so your sign-in, your library, and your audio never pass through a Dubplate server. There is nothing in the middle to log your listening, and nothing to leak.

Nothing leaves your deviceYour sign-in, file names, and audio go straight between your phone and Google Drive.
Read-only, foreverDubplate never modifies, moves, or deletes a file. It never even asks for permission to.
Your edits stay localFix a title, reorder a tracklist, build playlists. It all lives on your phone, not in the folder.
Leave anytimeDisconnect and everything is gone from the app. Your Drive was never touched to begin with.
